Idaho Department of Fish and Game
The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is actively engaged in WNS activities in the state, region, and nation. Our staff participate in biweekly state-federal WNS conference calls, attend national meetings, and serve on WNS-related committees. Consistent with our mission to preserve, protect, and perpetuate Idaho's wildlife, we plan to develop a WNS response plan for the state that includes surveillance for the disease. Planning will necessarily involve diverse partners throughout the state including state and federal agencies, the Tribes, NGOs, grottos, and others. We also intend to include WNS as an emerging threat in our revised State Wildlife Action Plan (SWAP).
